My quantity (below) made 18 patties, which serves 3-4 people.
300g (approx) turnips, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch cubes
400g (approx) potato, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
3 large spring onions, thinly sliced
2 medium eggs, beaten lightly
1/2 cup plain flour
sunflower oil (for frying)
salt and pepper, to taste

The patties themselves are quite delicately flavoured, so you could add spices to the mixture. Alternatively you could serve them with quite strong flavours. We ate ours with salad, plus an assortment of condiments such as chutney, sweet chilli jam, horseradish sauce, etc.
This recipe tastes even better made with vegetables from Community Harvest Whetstone :)
